Statement of Faith

Gladtidings House of Prayer for all Nations accepts the Bible as the inspired and revealed word of God (matthew 24:35, Proverbs 4:20-22) and adopts these statements as fundamental truths and doctrine:

REVELATION OF GOD

We believe that God is one, manifested in three persons – The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 4:16-17;1 John 5:7)

REPENTANCE

We believe that in order to receive eternal life, man must be born again.  The first step towards new birth is Godly sorrow – which cause man to repent of his sins. (2 Corinthians 7:10)

BAPTISM IN WATER

We believe that baptism in water is by immersion and for believers only.  (Mark 16:16, Acts 2:41, Acts 18:8, John 1:26, Luke 3:16)

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We practice the laying of hands and believe that there will be subsequent spiritual manifestation. (Acts 2:1-4, Mark 1:7-8).

SALVATION IS FOR EVERYONE

We believe that salvation delivers us from the penalty and power of sin. (Ephesians 2:1-9, II Corinthians 5:17)

RESURRECTION

We believe in the resurrection of the just and the returning of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17,Philippians 3:10, John 11:25, Acts 17:18, 1 John 3:1-3, Revelations 20:11,12)

SANCTIFICATION

We believe in the doctrine of Sanctification, which is the definitive yet progressive work of grace which begins at salvation and which will be completed at Christ’s return.  (Ephesians 4:22-24, Galatians 5:12-21)

THE GREAT COMMISSION

We believe that every believer is called to “full time” Christian service.  Because the Holy Spirit abides in every believer, He has endowed us with spiritual gifts for use and manifestation (1 Corinthian 12:4-10, Ephesians 4:11) and He brings to us the character and nature of Christ which is the fruit of the Spirit (Mark 16:15-18, Romans 6:3-5)

THE LORD SUPPER | COMMUNION

We believe in the Lord’s supper – the remembrance of His death, burial and resurrection (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-16)

EVANGELISM

We believe that it is the responsibility of every believer to share the good news with those God brings us into contact with. We practice sharing about Christ and invite friends to church. (Romans 10:13-15, II Corinthians 5:18-20)

MARRIAGE

We believe in the institution of marriage. Strong marriages make strong families, strong families make for strong churches, communities and ultimately a strong nation. Marriage is a divine covenant between a man and a woman from which children are nurtured and trained to become leaders of the next generation. Strong families are the building block of our society, the hope for future generations. We believe in passing on a legacy of faith to our children by a thorough grounding of God’s Word. (Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:22-33; Deuteronomy 6:4-7; Ephesians 6:1-4)

TITHES AND OFFERING –

We believe that giving tithes and free-will offering is ordained by God for the establishment and furtherance of His Kingdom.  (Numbers 18:28, Nehemiah 12:44, Malachi 3:8.)
